Therapy for Leaders & Professionals in Ho Chi Minh City

Clinical psychological support for burnout, decision fatigue, and career transitions, grounded in evidence and delivered with direction.

What is therapy for leaders and professionals?

Therapy for leaders and professionals is structured psychological treatment for people in demanding roles facing burnout, decision fatigue or a career transition. Sessions are in English, at Saigon Pearl, Binh Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City, or online. 10 sessions of 50 minutes, at 90 USD per session.

It is for senior leaders, founders and professionals who want more than someone to talk to. Most come with a specific question and leave with clarity and practical next steps, along with a better understanding of why the strain built up in the first place.

Who it is for

People usually get in touch at a point where something has to change, but it is not yet clear what. In their own words, it is often “burnout, or a change in what I want from my career”.

  • Senior leaders and managers. You carry decisions that affect many people, and there is little room to say how heavy that has become.
  • Professionals at a turning point. The work still goes well, but you are no longer sure it is the work you want.
  • People with decision fatigue. Every choice feels heavy, even the small ones, and by evening there is nothing left.
  • Expats and internationally educated Vietnamese. You want to work with an English-speaking psychologist in Ho Chi Minh City, in a language you think in.

The hidden cost of high performance

From the outside, things look fine. Inside, you are running on reserves, sleeping badly and finding it hard to switch off.

  • Competence that hides depletion. The better you perform, the less anyone notices how tired you are.
  • Constant alertness. Scanning for the next problem does not stop when you leave the office.
  • Isolation. The more responsibility you carry, the fewer people you can talk to openly.
  • Blurred boundaries. Work follows you home, into weekends and holidays.

Not all exhaustion is the same. We start by telling apart:

  • Physical fatigue, which rest and routine can fix.
  • Dissatisfaction with the role, the organisation or the people around you.
  • A deeper transition: who you want to be, and what you want your work to mean.

Each calls for a different response.

Clinical rigour, not generic coaching

Coaching is built for goals and performance. It is not built for what sits deeper:

  • a stress response that stays switched on
  • exhaustion that rest no longer fixes
  • perfectionism and self-criticism
  • patterns in relationships that keep repeating

These need clinical treatment, not only advice.

A structured path

10 sessions in three phases.

Phase 1: Stabilisation (sessions 1–3)

Bring the stress response down. Sleep, exhaustion, boundaries, and the first concrete changes.

Phase 2: Pattern mapping (sessions 4–7)

Find what keeps the strain going, at work and in your relationships.

Phase 3: Integration (sessions 8–10)

Turn insight into a way of working you can sustain: a steadier rhythm, a career change, or choices closer to your values.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a therapist or a coach?

Coaching helps with goals and performance. Therapy fits when the problem sits deeper: a stress response that stays switched on, exhaustion that rest no longer fixes, perfectionism, or patterns that keep repeating.

What is decision fatigue, and can therapy help?

Decision fatigue is the wear that comes from making many decisions for a long time without enough recovery. Judgement gets slower, small choices start to feel big, and it becomes harder to switch off. In therapy we look at both the load and the patterns that keep you carrying it, and work towards clarity and practical next steps.
